Full-time Social Media Content Coordinator/Creator

Work with a videographer and editor to produce video content, write captions and hashtags, and post them across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Take video scripts and turn them into blog posts. Write email marketing campaigns. Training
The Social Media Content Coordinator & Creator will be accountable for:
Taking videos from our video editor, write captions and hashtags, and post them across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter (1-2 posts per day per platform)
Doing minor video and image editing (example: creating a video on TikTok, creating an image for Instagram for an upcoming event, or minor tweaks to an existing video in Adobe Premier)
Taking the short video scripts, doing research on the topic, and writing them into longer blog articles to post on our blog and Linkedin (2-3 per week)
Writing simple, personal emails and managing email marketing campaigns in ActiveCampaign (3-5x per week, this should be about a 30 minute practice)
Creating engaging stories and posts to promote special offers on Instagram and other platforms
Obsess over follower and viewership growth and how to “beat” the algorithm, mainly on YouTube and TikTok
Coming up with new creative ways to increase our growth and efficiency
Providing feedback to video editor on what’s working and new things to try (i.e. writing new hooks for videos and sending it to the editor to create new tests)
Being a key member of the content team to grow our social following and awareness to 2 million followers in the next 12 months
Be a leading part of becoming the most renowned leaders in our space
Work with Jaymie (Azhen co-founder) and the team at One Peak Creative to strategize a campaign for a full-length documentary (think similar to the “Biggest Little Farm” documentary)
Working cohesively and communicating effectively with videographers and video editors
Reporting and sharing results in weekly meetings
Helping out and learning in other areas
We are a small team so we tend to jump around and help out in different areas. Plus, it keeps things interesting and lets everyone learn.
Looking after your personal health with weekly fitness and mindfulness goals
This position is eligible for a Creative Director role in the future
Note: Customer service is handled by another team mate, you do not have to manage comments on social platforms all the time, but you do need to have the ability to (example: replying to comments on posts fast when they’re first launched on TikTok can help increase their chance of going viral)
Experience Needed
2-5+ years with…
Social media coordination
A good understanding of all social platforms and how to organize the publishing of content across all channels
An eagerness to test and master the algorithm on TikTok and YouTube
Writing/copywriting
A deep interest in marketing, sales and psychology (coming up with high performing captions on social posts, and writing high performing emails that people can personally connect with)
The ability to write a blog post and coordinate with others to get it done
Email campaign management
A good understanding of email marketing softwares (we use ActiveCampaign)
Basic video editing and image creation skills
You will be working with a videographer, an editor and others on our team have graphic design backgrounds, but it is important that you’re able to make minor tweaks to videos in Adobe Premier, create videos on TikTok, and create images/graphics needed for social media

Future travel
As a content creator this position may be invited or required to travel locally and abroad. We are working on an urban project in Langley, BC that we may need you at now and then, and looking to open locations in the US and Costa Rica.

$4-5000+/month starting (competitive)
